Associations, Clubs, and Extracurricular Activities

Participation in extracurricular activities is the essence of a sound university education. Extracurricular activities offer students the opportunity to develop various talents, to enhance their physical and mental health, and to train them to be responsible members of society. UCH recognizes the indispensable role of extracurricular activities in a versatile campus environment and actively assists and guides various student-organized activities.

Different student associations, clubs, and extracurricular activities groups are organized at UCH. The largest is the Student Association which plans and promotes large-scale student activities. The chairperson of the Student Association is elected by students in an annual election.

The UCH Extracurricular Activities Section and the Office of Student Affairs, coordinate the affairs of the student clubs on campus. At present there are 49 clubs, including eleven for academic subjects, seventeen for various recreational and sport activities, seven for community service, and fifteen for fellowship activities. Other activities such as seminars, shows, competitions, lectures, musical performances, motion pictures and the publication of journals are also frequently sponsored by UCH.
