INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Department of Digital Multimedia Design. This department was established in 2015 in response to the needs of government and enterprise for cultivating talents in the field of digital multimedia design. There are three main developing areas in the DMD department: computer animation design, digital video production and interactive multimedia design.

In the area of "computer animation", the DMD department aims to train students to be familiar with applying various multimedia materials on animation productions. Students in this area focus on the design of script and practice of animated short films. The goal is to cultivate students with the ability of integrating animation elements in interactive digital content, e-learning, game design, mobile devices, and so on.

In the area of "digital video production", the DMD department aims to nurture students with the ability of designing and producing digital multimedia images, video and audio. The goal is to cultivate future video production professionals, such as directors, editors, photographers, sound effect staffs, and so on.

In the area of "Interactive Multimedia Design", the DMD department aims to train students with the ability of integrating digital multimedia contents and information technology to develop new multimedia applications. Students in this area should be able to apply design, art and information technology for interactive multimedia and to develop creative applications.
